Almost every African country is working towards setting up its own BRT system that makes transportation easier within the country. Nigeria already has one in Lagos City, and many other African countries are considering BRT systems’ importance in their big cities.
Cote d’Ivoire is one of the African countries planning to set up its Bus Rapid Transit System between Yopougon and Bingerville in Abidjan. According to the reports by @AfricaFactsZone, the transport system is expected to convey 300,000 passengers from two depots daily.
The importance of BRT is that it makes transportation faster and reduces traffic congestion caused due to many buses struggling to negotiate roads in these cities. The BRT system brings efficiency and is cheaper for those using public transportation.
